In the last 24 hours, 1,800 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 58 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).
As of January 15, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 35,485. Yesterday, 36,513 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 10,600; Punjab: 13,151; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,071; Islamabad: 5,826; Balochistan: 259; Gilgit-Baltistan: 350 and Azad Kashmir: 252.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 322 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.
A total of 476,471 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 8,654; Balochistan: 18,622; GB: 4,887, ICT: 40,177, KPK: 63,825; Punjab: 150,316 and Sindh: 236,530.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,055 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,460 casualties followed by Sindh: 3,813, KPK: 1,791; Islamabad: 457; Balochistan: 190; GB: 101 and AJK: 243.
630 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,840 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 7,442,084 tests.
