The coronavirus positivity ratio in Pakistan remained under 3 percent during the last 24 hours despite 43 deaths, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data showed on Wednesday.
According to the NCOC, 41,744 people were tested in the past 24 hours, of which 1,232 were positive, showing positivity ratio of 2.95 percent.
With these new additions, country’s overall case count soared to 1,503,873.
The death toll due to coronavirus rose to 30,096 with 43 casualties.
Meanwhile, 3,154 people infected with coronavirus recuperated during the last 24 hours, pushing the number of active cases down to 64,262.
Earlier, the NCOC removed restrictions from Karachi, Hyderabad and Peshawar after registering fall in Covid-19 cases.
The NCOC had last week issued a list of six cities where the positivity was higher than 10 percent, saying that the already enforced restrictions will remain in place there.
