A complaint has been filed by ASI Shahid Miran against PTI MNA Amir Liaquat Husain for allegedly harassing him and a head constable, as reported by Geo TV. The report was lodged at the Ferozabad police station regarding the incident which took place on Tuesday evening.
According to the ASI Shahid Miran, around 4;32 pm a car arrived and three people one of whom identified himself as Amir Liaquat came out and started shouting. The MNA allegedly threatened to get them fired and also misbehaved calling it “his area” and ordering them to “get out of here”.
In response, the MNA has shared a cropped version of the incident’s video. Showing him accusing the ASI of bribery, also taunting Murad Ali shah in the video. Liaquat has denied all accusations of physically assaulting the officers or “punching” the police vehicles.
Although, a Karachi based journalist has shared the uncropped video. There are many speculations of whether this was an actual case of moral policing of the police or if it is another one of Amir Liaquat’s infamous stunts.
