Pakistan’s armed forces have shown their deepest gratitude to People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and the People’s Republic of China for delivering a batch of COVID-19 vaccine, according to a statement shared by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan Army has decided to distribute the vaccine to front-line workers as part of the national vaccination drive.
Pakistan military is the first foreign military to receive vaccine assistance/donation from PLA.
Pakistan Army has decided to donate this batch of COVID-19 vaccine to the national vaccine drive. The ISPR’s statement said that keeping with the Pakistan armed forces’ traditional spirit of “nation comes first, always and every time,” it has been decided to contribute the complete vaccine donation, by PLA to Pakistan military, in the national vaccine drive.
Last Monday, Pakistan received 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from China. In the first step, the front line health workers are being inoculated.
