China snubbed Indian Prime Minister Nareendar Modi by denying his claim that Pakistan is supporting terrorism in India. “China appreciates the positive contribution by Pakistan to the International counter-terrorism cause, [and] firmly supports Pakistan in cracking down on terrorist forces.”
Earlier this week, Pakistani authorities exposed Indian links with the terrorist organizations operating from Afghanistan. In response to irrefutable evidence of Indian sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, Indian army staged another encounter and claimed killing of militants. Indian prime minister Nareender Modi from his official twitter handle alleged that “efforts to wreak major havoc and destruction have once again been thwarted.” Pakistan denied PM Modi’s allegations.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lijian Zaho on his Twitter handle said China ‘firmly supports Pakistan in cracking down on terrorist forces.’ He said China appreciates the positive contribution by Pakistan to the international counter-terrorism cause.
Earlier in Beijing, Lijian expressed similar views during his regular press briefing, the Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesman said that any attempt to sabotage the CPEC flagship project would not succeed.
