China will host the fourth round of the China-Pakistan-Afghanistan trilateral foreign ministers meeting on June 3.
All three countries will reiterate their support for a politically negotiated settlement of the long-standing conflict in Afghanistan. In addition to this, matters of trade and increasing cooperation in different sectors will also come under discussion.
The last round of trilateral meetings took place in September 2019 in Islamabad. In the meeting, it was decided that all three sides will work to implement the trilateral MoU on Cooperation in Counter terrorism, signed at the second round of Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Dialogue held in Kabul in 2018.
Furthermore, all three countries reiterated their “strong resolve to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and without any distinction”. It was reaffirmed by all sides that no terrorist organisation, element, or individual would not be allowed the use of their soils against any country.
