Billie Eilish will be performing at the Glastonbury music festival next June. According to the organizers of the festival, the Grammy Award winner is on her way to becoming the youngest-ever solo headliner for the British music festival.
The 19-year-old hitmaker, who has also sung the theme tune for the latest addition to the James Bond franchise ‘No Time To Die’, performed at the festival’s Other Stage in 2019. The major greenfield music event has not been held since then due to the pandemic.
Even though it was cancelled last year and this year due to Covid-19, a virtual event was organized in May.
Eilish, famous for hit songs like ‘Bad Guy’ and ‘Bury a Friend’, posted a picture of herself on Instagram adorned in a Glastonbury hooded sweatshirt, and captioned it “2022”.
Glastonbury co-organizer Emily Eavis released a statement saying, “This feels like the perfect way for us to return and I cannot wait!” She added that Eilish would perform on the main Pyramid stage on June 24.
As per the organizers, the festival will take place from June 22 to June 26, and is already sold out due to deposits for 2020 tickets being rolled over for a second year.
