The German football power house Bayern Munich have reportedly asked about signing Andrej Kramaric from Hoffenheim. The Croatian striker has been in scintillating form for his team and according to Christian Falk of BILD. With the transfer deadline approaching on Monday, Bayern are thinking about manufacturing a move to Allianz Arena.

An ideal backup for Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, a fee around €40 million is being touted for Kramaric, but the Croatian international is under contract until 2022. Bayern were given a taste of what the former Leicester striker could do, after he stunned the Bavarians at the Prezero Arena, ending their 32-match unbeaten run, scoring twice in an impressive 4-1 victory.

The 29-year old has already scored five times in two appearances this season and has now netted 77 times for Hoffenheim in 153 appearances. This comes after a forgettable spell in England with the Foxes. After an influential performance to hand defeat to the German champions, even German legend Lothar Mathaus praised the former Dinamo Zagreb forward.

“Hansi Flick’s praise a few days ago was no accident. Kramaric has already scored five goals after two matchdays and has also scored twice in the cup,” he said.

“He is a player who, in my opinion, definitely has the potential for Bayern Munich.”

Since rebuilding his career in Germany somewhat, the Croatian would have been dreaming about another chance at a top club; an opportunity that Bayern Munich could provide the firing Hoffenheim forward this season.
