The eldest daughter of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, got engaged to Mahmood Choudhry, son of US-based businessman Younas Choudhry, on Friday. On Saturday pictures from the ceremony at Bilawal House were released to the media.
Asif Ali Zardari, and her sister Aseefa in attendance. Her brother, PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto, who had contracted COVID-19 last week, could only attend the ceremony virtually.
On Friday, Bakhtawar shared a picture of the engaged couple on Instagram, with the portrait of Benazir Bhutto in the background.
Bilawal Bhutto also tweeted images of him attending the ceremony through video link.
Earlier on the day, Bakhtawar had tweeted “Very sentimental and emotional day. So grateful for everyone’s love and prayers.”
