Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) successfully collected net revenue amounting to Rs1,841 billion during July-October of current Financial Year 2021-22, exceeding the target of Rs1,608 billion by Rs233 billion.

FBR released the provisional revenue collection data pertaining to the months of July-October of the ongoing Financial year 2021-22.

As per the provisional information, the revenue collection is reflective of the growth of nearly 36.6 % over the collection of Rs1,347 billion during the corresponding period last year.

FBR had a net collection pertaining to the month of October 2021 reaching Rs440 billion, showing an increase of 30.5 % from Rs337 billion collected in October in the previous year. These stats will further improve before the after-book adjustments have been taken into account.

However, the gross collections rose from Rs1,413 billion between July till October of last year to Rs 1,932 billion during the current Financial Year, going up by 36.7 %. The amount of refunds paid was Rs91 billion during July-October of 2021 in comparison to Rs66 billion disbursed last year going up by 37.7 %.
