Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has condemned extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris in the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOJK).

The foreign minister tweeted that “Indian state-terrorism and brutal military siege cannot break the will of the Kashmiri people fighting for the right to self-determination.”

Qureshi wrote that Pakistan “strongly condemn unabated spate of extrajudicial killings of Kashmiris in IIOJK. Pakistan resolutely supports their just cause.”

Meanwhile, The Kashmir Media Service reported on Monday that restrictions have been further tightened while there is huge presence of Indian occupation forces on roads across the valley.

The number of troops and paramilitary personnel has been increased while more barricades, checkpoints and bankers have been put in place in the valley, a senior police officer confirmed.

Cordon and search operations were conducted in almost all parts of Kashmir, the officer said, adding that vigil has been stepped in the territory.

Indian troops and paramilitary forces are checking vehicles and identity cards of the commuters in TRC crossing, Lal Chowk, Jehangir Chowk, M A Road, Bemina, Parimpora, Bypass in Srinagar and other main towns.

The Indian occupation forces continued cordon and search operation in several areas, including Surankote, Mendhar, Thanamudi towns and highways in Poonch and Rajouri districts on eighth consecutive day on Monday.
