The OIC’s Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission is currently on a trip to Islamabad and plans to visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir officially to meet the political leadership.
The powerful delegation aims to exchange views on the on-ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to informed sources the delegation will also visit the Line of Control and see the destruction of civilian infrastructure caused by heavy firing from India in the past.
They will also be briefed on the current security situation of the LoC and meet the civilian population to gather facts.
The OIC delegation members are from UAE, Turkey, Uganda, Tunisia, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Gabon and Nigeria.
In the past the OIC IHRC was not allowed to visit Indian Occupied Kashmir which was a grave human rights violation indicative of India suppressing information flow from the area.
The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission has issued many statements and reports in the past against Indian atrocities committed on the Kashmiri people.
