In the last 24 hours, 2,452 people tested positive for COVID-19 while 30 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.
As of July 19, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 48,850. On Sunday, 49,503 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 19,655; Punjab: 17,178; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 7,168 Islamabad(ICT): 1,916; Balochistan: 1,962; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 612 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 1,012.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 245 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 920,066 recoveries.
A total of 991,727 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 22,116; Balochistan: 29,110; GB: 7,414; ICT: 84,722, KP: 140,818; Punjab: 350,618 and Sindh: 356,929.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,811 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,881 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,720 KP: 4,386; Islamabad: 787; Balochistan: 319; GB: 117 and AJK: 601.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,830 patients being treated across the country. A total of 15,443,477 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
