ISLAMABAD: Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti has been appointed Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Reconciliation and Harmony in Balochistan with immediate effect.

He was elected to the national assembly from Constituency NA-259 as a candidate of Jamhoori Wattan Party in the 2018 Pakistani general election.

The move comes after PM Imran Khan said that he is mulling to hold talks with separatists Balochs in Balochistan so that hostile elements, including India, could not use them to spread chaos.

“It is possible that they [separatists Balochs] have grievances and India [can] use them to spread anarchy,” Premier Imran said on Monday while addressing local elders, students and businessmen in Gwadar on Monday.

He said that in the past, the areas of Balochistan and erstwhile FATA were neglected, no money was spent on human beings in these areas due to which these areas lagged behind in the race for development.

Similarly, In response to a question during a press conference on Tuesday, Fawad Chaudhary said that the government is working towards holding negotiations with dissident Baloch leaders, while also working on a dossier related to India’s involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan again and once the dossier is ready, it will be presented before the international community.
