In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 29 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 1,228 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As of July 4, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 32,621. On Tuesday, 47,832 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 16,120; Punjab: 17,406; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 10,319; Islamabad(ICT): 1,862; Balochistan: 935; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 495 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 695.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 197 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 907,284 recoveries.

A total of 962,313 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 20,505; Balochistan: 27,387; GB: 6,394; ICT: 82,916, KP: 138,421; Punjab: 346,728 and Sindh: 339,962.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,408 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,772 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,512 KP: 4,336; Islamabad: 779; Balochistan: 312; GB: 111 and AJK: 586.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,126 patients being treated across the country. A total of 14,733,030 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
