To pay homage to Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed, Nishan-e Haider, a wreath laying ceremony was held at his monument of Shaheed at Mehfooz Abad.
A floral wreath was laid on behalf of General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army staff (COAS).
The ceremony was attended by relatives of the martyred soldier, including serving and retired officers of the Pakistan Army.
Naik Muhammad Mahfooz, born 25 October 1944 was a Pakistani soldier, who was awarded the Nishan-i-Haider, the highest military award of Pakistan. He died during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
