Pakistan’s COVID-19 death tally has crossed 22,000 mark after 30 fatalities were reported across the country on Sunday. Furthermore, 907 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.
As of June 21, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 34,020. On Sunday, 34,754 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 13,985; Punjab: 6,299; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 9,149; Islamabad(ICT): 3,627; Balochistan: 828; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 391 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 475.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 283 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 893,148 recoveries.
A total of 949,175 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,967; Balochistan: 26,633; GB: 5,813; ICT: 82,368, KP: 136,973; Punjab: 137,075 and Sindh: 345,065.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,007 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,642 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,341 KP: 4,269; Islamabad: 775; Balochistan: 301; GB: 108 and AJK: 571.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,591 patients being treated across the country. A total of 14,148,424 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
