Islamabad United, the top team in the points table of PSL6, will face defending champions Karachi Kings in match number 22 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) today.
Islamabad United is coming into the game with two consecutive wins. Yesterday, they beat inform Lahore Qalandars by 28 runs while on Friday they steam rolled Quetta by 10 wickets.
Under Shadab’s captaincy, Islamabad United have played seven matches, winning five of them and secured first position in the points table, On the other hand, Karachi Kings played six matches and won only three, and are fourth in the points table.
Islamabad is gaining momentum gradually. Usman Khawaja and Colin Munro were brilliant with the bat against Quetta, while Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali turned the tables against the Qalandars. Karachi Kings are coming on the back of a defeat against Multan Sultans.
Last time these two sides faced in PSL 2021, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by five wickets, chasing down a target of 197 runs in Karachi.
