Saudi Arabian nationals and the foreigners living in the kingdom have been allowed to perform Hajj this year, but after having vaccinated against coronavirus.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj announced its policy for the year 2021 on Saturday.

According to the Saudi news agency Arab News, the step has been taken due to Covid-19 pandemic and emergence of new highly contagious variants of the virus.

Under the present scenario, only 60,000 people have been allowed to perform Hajj, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj announced.

Those wishing to perform Hajj should not to suffer from any incurable disease, the ministry said.

The ministry announced that people between 18 and 65 years of age can perform Hajj after coronavirus vaccination.
