ISLAMABAD: The Finance Ministry has released the details of the Rs1240 billion Corona relief package.
The Ministry of Finance has so far released Rs875 billion under the Corona Relief Package. Rs365 billion under the COVID-19 relief package has not been released so far
Furthermore, Rs510.10 billion in cash released by the Ministry of Finance under the package. Rs 875 billion was allocated for cash in the Ministry of Finance.
Out of the funds allocated for cash, Rs365 billion has not been released so far, whereas, out of non-cash funds, all Rs365 billion was released by the Ministry of Finance.
Out of Rs200 billion allocated for daily wagers, Rs16 billion was released by the Finance Ministry. Out of Rs50 billion allocated for utility stores, Rs10 billion has been released. Out of Rs100 billion allocated for exporters, Rs86 billion has been released.
All Rs51 billion allocated for SMEs has been released by the Ministry of Finance.
Out of Rs150 billion allocated for crushed families and shelters, Rs145 billion was released by the Finance Ministry. Out of Rs49 billion allocated for the agriculture sector, Rs15.60 billion has been released. Out of Rs100 billion allocated for the Emergency Relief Fund, Rs65.60 billion has been released. Out of Rs100 billion allocated for electricity and gas subsidy, Rs 6 billion has been released.
All Rs25 billion allocated for NDMA released. Additionally, all Rs15 billion allocated for tax relief on food and health items has been released.
All Rs 70 billion on relief on petrol and diesel have been released according to the report by the ministry. Similarly, all Rs280 billion have been issued for the procurement of wheat.
These funds were issued in the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21, according to the report.
