In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 58 deaths while 1,490 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.
As of June 7, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 47,376. On Sunday, 49,285 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 14,369; Punjab: 21,546; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 7,628; Islamabad(ICT): 3,366; Balochistan: 1,326; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 325 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 725.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 418 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 908,576 recoveries.
A total of 933,630 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,519; Balochistan: 25,819; GB: 5,642; ICT: 81,766, KP: 134,558; Punjab: 342,498 and Sindh: 323,828.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 21,323 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,314 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,136 KP: 4,158; Islamabad: 765; Balochistan: 289; GB: 107 and AJK: 554.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 3,475 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,523,599 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
