Pakistan reported its lowest coronavirus positivity ratio since March at 4.05 per cent. In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 43 deaths while 2,117 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As of May 31, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 59,033. On Sunday, 52,222 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 15,195; Punjab: 22,109; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 8,116; Islamabad(ICT): 3,636; Balochistan: 1,391; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 413 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 642.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 448 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 908,576 recoveries.

A total of 921,053 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,232; Balochistan: 25,148; GB: 5,578; ICT: 81,195, KP: 132,549; Punjab:339,686 and Sindh: 317,665.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 20,779 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 9,999 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,020 KPK: 4,073; Islamabad: 760; Balochistan: 277; GB: 107 and AJK: 543.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 4,280 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,221,581 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
