In the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 4.34 per cent in country, lowest in the last three months.
Furthermore, Pakistan recorded 75 deaths while 2,726 people tested positive for COVID-19, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
As of May 27, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 59,018. On Wednesday, 62,706 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 22,043; Punjab: 24,914; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 7,771; Islamabad(ICT):5,177; Balochistan: 1,418; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 476 and Azad Kashmir(AJK): 907.
Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 502 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 908,576 recoveries.
A total of 911,302 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 19,008; Balochistan: 24,823; GB: 5,533; ICT: 80,779, KP: 131,027; Punjab:337,073 and Sindh: 313,059.
Till now, Pakistan has recorded 20,540 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 9,899 casualties followed by Sindh:4,966; KPK: 4,009; Islamabad: 751; Balochistan: 273; GB: 107 and AJK: 535.
639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 4,496 patients being treated across the country. A total of 13,006,326 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
