ISLAMABAD: National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) in an exclusive meeting decided to cancel the Cambridge examinations for O and A levels students. Students will appear in the October and November session.

The Matric, intermediate, and FSC delayed till June 15, 2021. Those A2 students who have received the date sheet will continue appearing in exams. Only 50 students will be allowed in the examination centers. About 20,000 students will be appearing in the A2 exams. The army would be deployed at the examination centres to ensure implementation of SOPs.

The minister had announced the exclusive meeting would take a decision on the exams today.

Earlier today, the federal minister for education Shafqat Mahmood said that the government allowed Cambridge exams on the condition of following SOPs strictly. “As more reports have come in, It is obvious that outside the exam centres the compliance is poor,” he tweeted today.
