Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, referring to the “mess” created by the government on the issue of proscribed TLP, has told the prime minister that “it’s your mess, clean up or go home.”

Bilawal took to Twitter and referred to the present chaotic situation in the country due to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) violent protests.

He wrote in his message that the prime minister was trying to hide behind National Assembly.

Bilwal said: “Agreement wasn’t brought to NA, Govt took action on streets, then banned, people killed, over 500 policemen injured, closed internet, PM didn’t make statement in NA, didn’t take NA into confidence at any stage. Now PTIS wants to hide behind NA. It’s your mess PM, clean up or go home.”

His tweet makes it clear that the PPP will not attend the National Assembly session called by the government to table a resolution seeking expulsion of French ambassador from the country.

Earlier, party sources had said that the PPP had decided not to attend the assembly session.

According to the sources, the party has informed its members in the National Assembly of the decision.

Bilawal had earlier told the media that the chaos in the country was caused “because of the government’s inability to handle the situation.”

He said it is the responsibility of the state to protect the lives of its citizens but the PTI government had failed to do so.
