The Pakistan Civil Aviation authority (CAA) has introduced a new measure under which it will be mandatory for all passengers travelling to Pakistan to submit complete requisite information through the ‘Pass Track App’, revealed a letter by the Consul General of Canada, Janzab Khan.

The decision has been taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 and to streamline data submission. It will also help to keep track of passengers travelling to Pakistan. This stipulation will be a mandatory requirement and no exception in this regard shall be allowed, the letter stated.

According to the CAA, it will be the prime responsibility of airline operators to ensure that all passengers travelling to Pakistan have submitted complete information through the Pass Track App, prior to their travel to Pakistan.

Any or all cases of non-compliance will be dealt with strictly in accordance with applicable rules/regulations, said the CAA.

Additionally, the requirement of the submission of a health declaration form will cease from May 1, 2021, upon coming into effect of the mandatory requirement of submission of information/data through the Pass Track App.
