With the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, the number of critical patients has surpassed 5,000.

631 hospitals within Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities, with 5,024 patients admitted across the country.

Of the ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients, 503 are occupied across Pakistan. 88% of the reserved ventilators are occupied in Gujranwala, 81% in Multan, 80% in Lahore, and 52% in Islamabad. No patients are on ventilators in Balochistan, GB, and AJK.

Of the allotted oxygen beds, 85% are occupied in Gujranwala, 77% in Charsadda, 76% in Swabi, and 74% in Peshawar.

Over the last 24 hours, 4,318 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan, according to data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Meanwhile, 118 people lost their lives to the virus, of which 110 died while hospitalised. 37 died while on ventilators.

74 died in Punjab, while 32 died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A total of 15,619 deaths have been registered across Pakistan so far.

The number of fatalities registered in the provinces stands at 7,062 in Punjab, 4,530 in Sindh, 2,683 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 617 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 217 in Balochistan, 103 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and 407 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

As of April 13, 2021, there are 76,034 active cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan.

Yesterday, 50,520 tests were conducted across Pakistan, with 8,642 conducted in Sindh, 27,320 in Punjab, 5,896 in KP, 6,251 in ICT, 960 in Balochistan, 560 in GB, and 891 in AJK.

To date, a total of 729,920 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Pakistan (AJK 14,687; Balochistan 20,397; GB 5,130; ICT 66,983; KP 100,275; Punjab 252,974; Sindh 269,474). 10,829,994 tests have so far been conducted across the country.

So far, 638,267 people have recovered across Pakistan.
