The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had snubbed the Pakistan People’s party (PPP) offer to overthrow the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Punjab, said PPP leader Nabil Gabol in a TV show.

Gabol, who appeared on ARY News show, said that the PML-N rejected the offer to move a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Gabol said the refusal to support PPP in its potential move against Buzdar led to the differences between the opposition parties.

At this, Ataullah Tarar responded that the PML-N couldn’t support the motion as the PPP had only 10 lawmakers in the provincial assembly. “The PML-N has 165 seats, how, it is possible that we accept a chief minister from a party having 10 lawmakers in the house,” he said.

Gabol further said the joint opposition alliance would strengthened had PML-N supported the move against Buzdar. “We would have governments in two provinces, Sindh and Punjab, and this would have been enough to rattle the ruling PTI,” he added.

It may be noted here that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is in tatters after the PPP urged PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif to come back to the country. The PPP also opposed the idea of mass resignations, resulting in the postponement of the long march that was supposed to take place on March 26.
