Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, who has got the ruling PTI nod, has upped his efforts to retain the coveted office and called on the PTI and ANP leadership.

Chairman Sanjrani on Monday met Minister for Information Shibli Faraz, Member National Assembly (MNA) Amir Dogar and Punjab Food Minister Aleem Khan to devise a strategy for the March 12 vote.

He apprised the PTI leaders of his meetings with political parties.

On Sunday, Sanjrani and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak visited Wali Bagh, Charsadda, and called on the Awami National Party (ANP) Senior Vice President Ameer Haider Hoti, General Secretary Main Iftikhar Hussain and the party’s provincial president Aimal Wali Khan.

According to a statement, ANP President Isfandyar Wali could not meet the delegation because of health reasons.

ANP leader from Balochistan Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai, who is also Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives, accompanied Sanjrani.
