Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsmen Muhammad Rizwan has made giant strides in the latest ICC T20 rankings after his stellar run in the recently concluded series against South Africa.
The 28-year-old has jumped to 42nd place from 158, a jump of 116 places.
Rizwan accumulated 197 runs in the three-match series with scores of 104*, 51 and 42. He also won the player of the series award for his performances. Rizwan was also player of the series in a preceding two-match Test series, which resulted in a career-best ranking for him in that format.
South Africa spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has grabbed second spot in the bowler’s category.
Haider Ali moves up 13 places to 137th position while fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi reaches 11th spot and Hasan Ali goes up 14 places to 82nd position. Spinners Mohammad Nawaz is on 64th and Usman Qadir has jumped to 92 from 129.
