Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz vehemently criticised the government and questioned the rationale for introducing electoral reforms saying that when the members of his party are abandoning him, Prime Minister Imran Khan started talking of horse trading.

Talking to media in Lahore, Maryam said they made the video, gave the money and themselves received it, an apparent reference to a recently leaked video. She claimed that all the tactics are being used to save an incompetent regime.

She said it was impossible to defeat the PML-N. Attempts were made in the past to disintegrate the PML-N, but all in vain.

She said that the entire system is being compromised to save an incompetent ruler.

Maryam claimed that misdeeds of the rulers have been exposed. They are raising voice against the double standards.

She said the PDM does not support secret ballot at all. Election procedure will definitely be reformed and the PDM also favoured reforms. But legislation cannot be done in the presence of a “humble servant.”

She alleged that they rigged the election of Senate chairman.

Denying backdoor contacts, Maryam said that backdoor contacts are needed by those who are in trouble.

She said it is not a wise move to destroy the entire justice system to save an “incompetent”.
