The online pre-booking of tickets for the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has started. As expected, the response from this cricket-loving nation has been spectacular.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had decided to allow fans to pre-book their tickets online for the upcoming matches of the PSL. PCB has partnered with Bookme.com for the online selling of tickets for the sixth edition of PSL.
After deliberations with the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC), the PCB has made COVID-19 protocols for the spectators that will be announced soon after the approval from the Ministry of Health.
Last week, NCOC announced 20% crowds will be present per match in both Karachi and Lahore.
The decision means around 7,500 ticketed spectators will be allowed inside the National Stadium Karachi per match day, while around 5,500 will be able to attend each match day at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
During the course of the event, the NCOC and the PCB will continue to work together and monitor the situation before a decision to increase crowd numbers for the three playoffs and the final is made.
According to a statement, PCB shared the details of how fans can be part of Pakistan’s biggest cricketing extravaganza.
“With a socially distant seating plan cricket fans can now be a part of the game again as both HBL PSL 6 venues Karachi and Lahore will have 20% of the total seating capacity of the stadiums available for the spectators,” the cricket board said.
The sixth edition of the PSL will be played between February 20 and March 22 in Karachi and Lahore. The opening game will be played between defending champions Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.
