Karachi: Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Saturday imposed travel restrictions for a month, starting from February 1, 2021, for inbound travel from South Africa, United Kingdom, Brazil, Ireland, Portugal and Netherland (Category ‘C’ countries).
The PCAA has made three categories of the countries travelling to Pakistan.
According to the PCAA’s notification issued last night, only the Pakistani passport holding a valid Visa, Pakistani NICOP holders, Pakistan Origin Card (POC) holders, and Diplomatic Passport holders of Category ‘C’ countries and their families can travel to Pakistan.
The CAA further said: “Any or all passengers fulfilling any criteria as mentioned above, arriving in Pakistan from those countries, or having stayed there within the last 10 days prior to travel to Pakistan, may also be subject to additional stipulations as specified by the relevant health Authorities upon arrival in Pakistan.”
The notification further claimed that the aforesaid measures will remain in effect until February 28, 2021. Meanwhile, the international travellers from Category ‘A’ countries do not require COVID-19 PCR test before entry into Pakistan.
