Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has threatened Justice (retired) Azmat Saeed to resign as the head of Broadsheet inquiry committee, otherwise she would open his secrets.

Talking to media in Khokhar Palace, Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said Azmat Saeed was working with the NAB at the time of Broadsheet Agreement in the year 2000.

She claimed that he inducted officers in the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on the basis of personal liking.

She said (NAB prosecutor general) Farooq Adam had admitted that the allegation of $1 billion against Nawaz Sharif was based on speculation.

Replying to a question regarding no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, she said Bilawal did not inform her or the PDM about his move. She came to know about it through media, she added.

The PML-N vice president said Bilawal Bhutto’s proposal on in-house change will be discussed in the PDM meeting.

However, she reiterated assertion that if Bilawal has numbers for in-house change, he should present his proposal in the PDM meeting.

Regarding invitation of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari’s marriage, she expressed her good and warm wishes for her. She, however, did not answer the question whether she has been invited to the wedding ceremony.

Meanwhile, a senior party leader, Muhammad Zubair, has said that Maryam Nawaz will not be able to attend Bakhtawar’s wedding on January 30 “due to some pressing engagements.” Even he did not answer the question about invitation.

Replying to a question about the opposition alliance, the PDM, Maryam admitted that there are difference of opinions, but they resolve it amicably.

She said disappointment among government ranks is growing as the PDM is getting stronger and stronger.

She called the PTI a one-man party, and said it will be extinct when Imran will become weak.

Maryam claimed that even if we give it a chance, the government will not be able to complete five years.

Expressing solidarity with Khokhar brothers, she called them trusted allies of Nawaz Sharif.
