Police arrested the husband of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, from their hotel in Karachi early on Monday morning.
Maryam Nawaz tweeted about the arrest of her husband. She said the police barged in the hotel room while they were sleeping and arrested Captain Safdar.
A FIR was lodged against Captain Safdar for raising slogans inside the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam.
PTI MPAs Raja Azhar Khan, Haleem Adil Sheikh and others from the party submitted an application at the Brigade police station, asking the police to register a case against PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, and approximately 200 others PML-N leaders and workers.
Maryam Nawaz retweeted a tweet of her workers who had filmed the damaged door of the hotel.
