Larry King, the king of talk shows, passed away at age 87 due to COVID-19 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He ruled on the broadcast media for half a century his matter-of-fact style during interviews. He interviewed to every sitting president from Gerald Ford to Barack Obama and scores of celebrities.
King’s death occurs weeks after he was hospitalized with COVID-19. Ora Media, the production company King founded, announced his death on Twitter. Larry King’s orginal name was Lawrence Harvey Zeiger and he born in Brooklyn, New York. He stared his career in radio as a showbiz anchor in Miami. He chose the name WAHR-AM for radio show. In 1997, he married his last wife, Shawn Southwick, in his hospital room at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, as he was preparing to undergo heart surgery. They filed for divorce for the second and final time in 2019.”
